The public need to get behind this really important issue, great question!


It's shocking how many mentally ill prisoners are not receiving real psychiatric health care and are simply thrown into the general population.


If we want to help offenders (many really don't care and like the ';throw the key away'; answer better) we have to address their specific issues and treat each offender individually. Look at the events that led to her incarceration and work with her in deciding how better to improve her chances of living a more successful and law-abiding life when she is released.
