How does a single parent get schooling paid for?

I am a sinlge parent and just applied for a small college. I was able to get a pell grant and student loans but stiol have a balance. I cant afford to pay the balance or even pay abck the student loans. I was told by many perople since I am very low income and a single parent i can get my schooling paid for. I just dont know how to do it. I am only going for 11 months and it costs $12,000 so its not like I am trying to get a lot of money like if i was going to a big college. How does a single parent get schooling paid for?
Talk to an accountant. You won't be able to have the government pay your tuition outright, but you WILL be able to write it ALL off on taxes. How does a single parent get schooling paid for?
Have you talked to an adviser at the college you are attending? That's how I found help when I went back to school. Also try applying for scholarships thru various groups in your community. Could you possibly get help from the company you work for, sometimes they have programs available.

I used to get alot of info in my email, I can check for you and send the web sites to you if you'd like :)
if you are low income then your pell grant should have covered the cost. there are exceptions to repaying loans depending on the type of loan that you received. talk to a financial aid adviser for information on having your loan excused. they would know how to go about it
you gotta study dard to qualify for a scholarship.
I live in California. We have something called a Cal-Grant for California residents attending school in California. See if your state has something like that.
nothing is free in this world and you should not expect any breaks just because you happen to be a single parent........you should be able to get student loansto cover everything and you wont have to pay anything monthly unless you want to pay some interest, and with most of these you dont have to pay back until after you finish and get a job n stuff........try an online college...it sounds like online would fit your situation much better..
