How is it my mom bought me colored underwear and other parents would only get their sons white underwear?

How was it when I was growing up my mom bought me any colors and styles of underwear that I wanted and some of my friends parents only got them white? Was it because my mother is cool and she knows what its like to wear colored underwear? Has your son ever asked if he could wear colored underwear so he can fit in? Did he say what colors of briefs he wants? What colors and styles would you buy him in middle school or high school? Do you think the styles and colors parents buy has to do with being cool and open.How is it my mom bought me colored underwear and other parents would only get their sons white underwear?
I've always bought my son colorful underwear. I mean when he was little I bought him cartoon underwear, I thought they were cute and figured he'd like them. When he starting getting older (he's 12 now) I starting buying him boxers because that's what his dad always wore and he said they were more comfortable.How is it my mom bought me colored underwear and other parents would only get their sons white underwear?
Um well first off I would probably let me child pick out which ever kind of underwear he wanted. So it wouldn't be an issue, it goes underneath your clothes. Why would colored underwear make you cool?

Unless my son wants to wear lacy silk thongs, I'll buy any color he wants.
My mom buys me white underwear because that's what I like. I'm sure she would get me colors if I asked her too. She wouldn't care as long as I wear something.
It's because she probably didn't really care one way or another what your underwear looked like...the same reason my mom always bought me colorful patterned socks...probably because you liked them...
Perhaps it's because you told your mom what you wanted, and she took into that into consideration while purchasing them.





I don't think that buying coloured/styled underwear has anything to do with being ';cool';. It really just has to do with having a close enough relationship with your child for them to express what they prefer in undergarments.
