Help! How do I get a grant for college when my parents have bad credit? Should I get married first?

I'm planning to get married in a couple years, but I'm trying to go to college. My parents have bad credit and they say they can't get loans and that a grant is a long shot or something...they are acting like I can't even do it. But I want to. Would I have a better chance of getting loans and things when I'm declared independent from them and do newly married couples have a better shot at getting loans? Help!Help! there are tons of grants out there, I would recommend that you get the book called ';grants for dummies';. Students loans you do not need your parents credit scored, if I was you I would go independent.
