How old do you have to be to get your tounge pierced with parent concent?

Im 13 and live In california, I want to get my tongue pierced but my sister was telling me that you have to be 15 even if your parents sign for you. But I don't know if that's true or not so does anyone know?How old do you have to be to get your tounge pierced with parent concent?
It depends on where you get it done.





If you get it done at some janky place, they probably wouldn't care enough to ask for your age, or even care if your parents were there or not. But I wouldn't recommend going to one of those since they obviously don't do as well as a job if you got it done at a nice piercing/tattoo place. If you got it done at somewhere nice, I'm sure they would want you to be at least 15 or 16 even if you have parental consent.





One of my old friends got his lip pierced when he was 13 and it was at the nicest piercing/tattoo place in our town, with parental consent. But I do think getting your tongue pierced is a little different. It's a much more tragic situation if you got it infected and I'm sure it takes longer to heal. I know someone who's 16 and has her tongue pierced but I have no clue where she got it done or if she had parental consent.





You can always try going into a piercing parlor and just ask them, and you don't need to bring your parents. They'll be happy to tell you.How old do you have to be to get your tounge pierced with parent concent?
Sorry, I dont live in CA, but generally the age you are looking for is 16. But just locate the number of a piercing/tattoo shop in your area and they will tell you.

Edit: oh sorry, lol. 16 usually. But it depends on the piercing studio.
in the UK its 13 and you dont have to sign for it either your parent just come with you but im not sure about US
