UK: Can somebody explain the the latest government possible initiative that allows parents to sue schools?

If the school is found guilty this must mean that compensation will be

come from the school and paid by the Local Education Authority which gets it's funds from the County (i.e. money raised from the Council Tax) which must mean that the more fines that are paid the higher the Council Tax must be raised to be pay the fines.

Who receives the fines?

Surely, the only people that will actually gain from this are the legal profession and the fines will be borne by Council Tax payers (surely circular taxation?)

So how will this improve the education system?UK: Can somebody explain the the latest government possible initiative that allows parents to sue schools?
you cant sue schools, UNless the consent of the goventmentUK: Can somebody explain the the latest government possible initiative that allows parents to sue schools?
....This country is getting madder by the day..... When will it all end..

It all boils down to the tax payer forking out again... Crazy..

We need the ';UKIP'; party in government right now to change these stupid laws...
As always it sounds good but is little more than that and will be a money maker for lawyers and a loser for us poor council tax payers.

It is typical of this government were popularity comes first and measured consideration nowhere.

I think the Minister of Education has the right name and he has a long record of making just that.of everything he has touched. He was Browns' adviser when the company pension schemes were given a death sentence by a change in the tax regime. in other words to use a Lliverpool expression, '; E's a bleedin' 'ead d' ball';
I've never heard of anyone suing a school

Maybe a teacher as an individual, perhaps for exceptional

unacceptable behaviour.

And yes, any comp, from a school would be paid by the local council who is funded by the council tax payers,

It is just so sad that we seem to be in this 'Sue' culture nowadays,

which I'm sure we have inherited from the USA

To take any sort of legal action theses days will cost you Heaps. Financially, and in time ,and stressful delays. Only some with above average resources will be able to sue Schools. It is a very unpractical step and there will be so many exclusions that will hike up the lawyers fees . The government knows this but it is still trying to pretend they are working in our interests.Who are they fooling ?
