How do I convince my parents to allow me to get a facebook?

I'm 13 and i'm dying to have facebook my parents and brother both have one but try just won't let me theysais they've thought about it but still won't let me and it makes me feel like thy don't trust me. A 13 year old should be allowed some sort of freedoms right? What do I tell them? And don't say go behind their backs because they are on all the time and would find out an I'm trying to gain their trust not loose itHow do I convince my parents to allow me to get a facebook?
Hurry up and turn 18. lolHow do I convince my parents to allow me to get a facebook?
You are 13, you don't have any freedoms. They are doing it to protect you and you should respect their wishes. Asking other people how to convince your parents is the same as going behind there back. What is so important about it anyways, you go to school with all your friends, why do you need to spend time on the computer with them?

Take some very good advise, if you respect your parents decision, accept it graciously, follow it, they will be more willing to trust you in the future.

I know this is not the answer you wanted to hear, but this is true. I am nearly 19, an adult, but when I am in my parents home I respect them and behave the way they expect me too. I have a good relationship with them because of it. Your parents are not doing this to be mean, they love you and don't want you exposed to the world.
Face book is not a good idea. If you put your info and thoughts on there it will come back to bite you. Even if you detete everything; it is stored some where else. Then when you want a job you get turned down because of somthing you wrote on there. private IM's can be intercepted easily ans stored (companies do it all the time; in hope that some day you will apply for a job and some one will need this stuff). Trust me; 100,000's of people get turned down. It may seem unfair now; but you will even more disapointed when you can't get into a college.
Say more people have facebook then the number of people who live in any continent but Asia. And if all of those millions of people have it, I'm fairly certain you're gonna be ok. Say that. Also tell them, you have complete control of privacy settings. Nobody can see anything about you unless their your friend. (you have the option to do that) It's completely safe
when i wanted a myspace, they said i only could if i gave them the password to check on things. try to compromise with them. if they still say no, maybe you aren't ready for a facebook. just don't go behind their backs and make one on your own, it could equal punishment for you.
Just tell them that THEY THEMSELVES can edit your privacy options and make sure that only people they approve of can be your facebook friends.

I don't see why they wouldn't accept that offer.

....But i didn't have facebook til' i was 14

(Then again, that's when it came out lol)
You do not need one at 13! haha you want freedom? You have no idea to survive without your parents.

They think you'll end up meeting some old man!
tell them that you will be careful and and your friends only and that it is only to chat and stuff like that
Well go behind their back, if they are on all the time make your name something else, and don't post up a picture, therefore they won't know since most likely your name is common. Put them on limited, or clear your history when they come home.

Duh!
